Warner Bros. showcases newest Batmobile in Las Vegas

Fans got a fresh look Tuesday at the newest version of the iconic Batmobile as Warner Bros. officially unveiled it at the 2015 Licensing Expo in Las Vegas ahead of the release of next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The vehicle was showcased last September by director Zack Snyder and was photographed (and shared on social media) last month on the Toronto set of Suicide Squad.

The newest version of the caped crusader’s vehicle looks more like a tank than a car — a far cry from the Cadillac Adam West drove around as TV’s Batman in the 1960s.

The newest version of Bruce Wayne’s vehicle looks similar to the Batmobile in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight – but with considerably more firepower and armour.

The sleek, rugged looking Batmobile packs a serious punch with guns clearly mounted at the front of the vehicle and enough armour to take on a small army.

Fans have to wait until Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in March 2016 to see it in action on the big screen. Suicide Squad follows in August 2016.
