First Nations drinking water data

On October 31, 2011, one out of five First Nations communities had a drinking water advisory.

Through an Access to Information request, Global News obtained Health Canada data of water advisories in First Nations communities.

The data revealed that some communities have had to boil their water for years, in some cases, for a decade or more. There were a total of 127 communities with advisories on October 31, 2011.
