WATCH: Trailer for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ shows rebellion

TORONTO — Things are about to get really awkward between Katniss Everdeen and President Snow.

“Nothing good is safe while Snow is alive,” Katniss declares in a teaser trailer released Tuesday for The Hunger Games, Mockingjay – Part 2, “and I can’t make another speech about it.

“Snow has to pay for what he’s done.”

The trailer opens with a happy, peaceful moment — the wedding of Finnick (Sam Claflin) and Annie (Stef Dawson) — but takes a serious turn when Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) declares war on Snow (played by Canada’s Donald Sutherland).

“We all have one enemy. He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other,” she says. “Tonight, turn your weapons to the Capitol.”

But Snow isn’t taking it sitting down. “Make no mistake,” he says. “The game isn’t over.”

The movie franchise based on Suzanne Collins novels is over, though.

After the $1.6 billion success of the first two chapters — 2012’s The Hunger Games and 2013’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire — the studio decided to split the finale into two movies. Last year’s Mockingjay – Part 1 earned a whopping $752 million at the box office.

Mockingjay – Part 2 will put the movie franchise’s total over $3 billion.

The teaser trailer will have to keep fans satisfied for a little bit longer. The movie doesn’t open until Nov. 20.
