CALGARY – RCMP are investigating after threatening graffiti spray-painted on a Cochrane school forced the building’s temporary closure.
Officers were called to Cochane High School around 6:30 a.m. on Monday for complaints of a bomb threat.
When they arrived, police found the building had been vandalized with graffiti that said “there is a bomb insie (sic) ISIS is here ISIS is now.”
The culprit also attempted to gain access to the school by breaking a window. In the process the individual cut themselves.
When students arrived at the school, they were redirected by staff and police.
A search of the school failed to turn up anything suspicious. As such, students were permitted back into the building just before 8:30 am.
