Did the Internet find the blissful newlyweds photographed by a B.C. man?

Did the internet help a B.C. man find this couple? Maybe. Saber Miresmailli/Facebook

The blissful newlyweds captured by an amateur photographer from British Columbia might have been found.

Saber Miresmailli uploaded the photo of the blissful newlyweds, embracing in London, England to Facebook on May 31 and asked his friends to share the photo in the hopes they could identify and give the photo to the couple.

The post went viral and was shared over 280,000 times and eventually led to some people on Twitter suggesting they knew the couple.

The couple, identified only as Laura and James by their supposed cousin, are currently on their honeymoon and have yet to find out about the now famous photo.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

But are they the couple in the photo? Miresmailli admitted in a Facebook post Tuesday that he has not spoken to the couple and has not confirmed whether they are indeed the couple in the photo.

Miresmailli wrote in the post that he didn’t expect the “simple act of posting this picture to turn into such a big movement.”

The photo has garnered worldwide attention and has been reported on by media outlets across Canada, the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
