CENTRAL BLISSVILLE, N.B. – A 36-year-old man is appearing Wednesday in a New Brunswick court in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl over 11 years ago.
The RCMP say they arrested the man on Tuesday but did not provide his name.
A spokeswoman says the arrest is in relation to the death of Kennedy Corrigan of Central Blissville, who died in hospital on April 9th, 2004 after suffering a head injury in her home.
Constable Jullie Rogers-Marsh says medical evidence at the time of her death supported the police theory of a non-accidental death but was not definitive.
She says new evidence led to a man’s arrest yesterday.
The man is expected to appear in the provincial court in Burton.
