Vernon RCMP took down a sizeable marijuana grow operation Monday.

The hydro meter was also bypassed.

A no-occupancy notice has now been posted on the house door, enforcing a City of Vernon By-law restricting use of the home until work has been done to clean up damage from the grow operation. The home must be inspected by the City before it can be lived in or sold.

RCMP say the continued enforcement targeting drug operations is one of the priorities in the North Okanagan community to help reduce crime.
