Police say the collision occurred when a 27-year-old man driving the Jeep made a right turn from eastbound 15 Avenue onto northbound Macleod.

Before emergency crews arrived at the scene, two bystanders provided first aid as the woman laid trapped under the vehicle, said EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux.

Northbound Macleod Trail at 15 Avenue was cordoned off shortly after the incident at 10:30 a.m. and remained closed for several hours as officers with the traffic unit investigated.
