Kelowna Rockets bested by Oshawa Generals at Memorial Cup

QUEBEC CITY–The two best teams in the 2015 Memorial Cup collided Tuesday night,  with the Kelowna Rockets falling 2-1 to the Oshawa Generals.

There weren’t many scoring chances in the first and most belonged to the Generals.

Oshawa got on the board in the second with goals from Cole Cassels and Tobias Lindberg.

Gage Quinney got one back for the Rockets, making the score 2-1 heading into the third.

Late in the third with the Rockets on the power play, the Generals got  a delay of game penalty.

That gave the Rockets an incredible opportunity to tie the game, but the Generals killed off a minute-long, five-on-three Rockets advantage to hold on for the win.
