CALGARY – Calgary Councillors will be discussing changes to allow bikes on Stephen Avenue at a Transportation and Transit committee meeting on Wednesday.

Currently, municipal bylaws prohibit cycling along the pedestrian walkway.

However, Stephen Avenue (from 3 St. S.W. to 1 St. S.E.) is set to be used as an east-west connection for the Centre City Cycle Track pilot project, requiring that cycling be permitted.
