A special tribute is being organized in honour of 19-year-old Emily Janzen, an alleged victim of a murder-suicide in Chilliwack.
The Chilliwack School of Performing Arts, where Janzen was a former student and instructor, says the special tribute will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 1 p.m. at First Avenue Christian Assembly – 46510 1st Avenue in Chilliwack.
In place of flowers, donations can be made to a bursary fund set up in Janzen’s memory. Over $2,300 has been raised so far.
It is believed Janzen’s father Randy confessed to killing her on Facebook last week because she suffered from chronic and crippling migraines.
The Facebook post, allegedly written by Randy, talks about his daughter’s health struggles and how he could not see her in pain anymore. The post then states Randy killed his daughter Emily, his wife, Laurel, and his sister, Shelly in her Langley home. However, the authorities are not confirming at this time that these are the victims and that this Facebook post is connected.
