On Tuesday, police combed through a grassy area near the railway tracks located by Penbrooke Road and Penbrooke Close S.E. looking for the stolen items. Police confirmed the search was successful; they found evidence directly related to the robbery.
Police say they were led to that area based on tips from the public.
“We believe items were specifically dumped in this location,” said Staff Sgt. Colin Chisholm.
Just a few weeks ago, police filmed a Crime Stoppers reenactment with hopes it would inspire anyone with information on the murder to come forward.

Police have been able to identify four persons of interest in the case.
However, investigators are continuing to search for a vehicle which was seen in the area prior to the stabbing. The vehicle is a 2006-2008 silver Pontiac Grand Prix.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them or contact Crime Stoppers.
