Woman assaulted in Saskatoon’s City Park neighbourhood

SASKATOON – Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was assaulted in Saskatoon early Tuesday morning. It happened just before 1 a.m. in the City Park neighbourhood.

Police say the woman was walking in the 600-block of Duchess Street when a man approached her from behind and knocked her to the ground. A struggle then took place.

The woman screamed and fought the attacker. He gave up and fled down an alley towards Lauriston Street.

She received some abrasions and bruises but did not require medical care.

A canine unit was unsuccessful in locating the attacker.

He is described as being between 20 and 30 years of age, medium to large build with dark hair shaved to about a half-inch in length.
