RCMP arrest violent offender wanted for a serious assault

UPDATE: RCMP say Myles was found in a home in Duncan this morning and arrested without incident. He is remains in custody and face multiple charges.

VANCOUVER – The North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP is looking for 35-year-old Nathan Myles.

The Cowichan Valley resident is wanted in connection with a series of violent incidents, including the serious assault of a 18-year-old woman, who was known to him. He is charged with harassment, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, two counts of assault, and four counts of uttering threats.

Myles is known to police and has a history of violent offences. Police say the public should not approach him as he is considered dangerous.

He is described as:

  • 6 feet 1 inch tall
  • Weighing 166 pounds
  • With brown hair and blue eyes
  • It is believed he has recently cut his hair short
