$139K raised on McHappy Day for Ronald McDonald House Sask.

SASKATOON – Customers in Saskatoon, Martensville, Regina and Weyburn helped raised over $139,000 for the Ronald McDonald House charity on Wednesday. Funds raised locally by McDonald’s restaurants and Saskatchewan communities for the 22nd McHappy Day reached over $102,700.

The mandate of the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan organization is to provide accommodation for families of sick kids travelling to Saskatoon to receive medical treatment at Royal University Hospital.

Here in Saskatoon, residents may have spotted some Global News personalities working the drive-thru and helping out at the golden arches.

McHappy Day was introduced in 1977 and has raised more than $46 million.
