MONTREAL – Lower Canada College in NDG was once again the site of this year’s Chair Aware basketball challenge to benefit the Action Centre.
For the sixth year in a row, the event brought together corporate teams who face off on the basketball court – while in wheelchairs – to raise much needed funds for the centre.
Global Montreal was once again involved with our own senior anchor Jamie Orchard leading the charge.
“In our office, we struggled to find five participants the first year. This year we’ve got a group of 20 with their kids and everything. It’s a fun thing.”
The Action Centre is Montreal’s only bilingual day centre for people with physical and cognitive disadvantages.
The basketball challenge has become a fun event, growing in prominence every year, which generously helping a good cause.
