Friday May 8th  on The Morning News

It’s a big day for birders on Saturday, May 9th.  Birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts across the province are encouraged to record what bird species they see or hear that day for the annual migratory bird count.  Learn how you can get involved tomorrow at 6:45am.

We kick off the music hour at 7:15am with a live performance from Scott Shea and his band The Scott Shea Trio. The Victoria, BC native is touring through the Maritimes with local artist Thom Swift with a stop at The Company House next week.

And at 7:45am the music keeps on rolling with a chat and live performance with the Morningside Jazz Trio. The Halifax based band is taking part in the “Jazz up your Spring” event that is a team effort between The Halifax Jazz Festival and Halifax Public Libraries.
