The pool was closed a year ago to allow repairs after the electrical fire caused extensive damage. Structural engineers who inspected the facility during the repairs then found cracks along the pool tank walls and further repair work was done.
Repairs to the plaster between the pool tiles and concrete tank have been completed, the news release says.

The $1.2-million cost of repairing damage from the fire was covered by an insurance claim. The structural repairs, which were paid for by the city, cost about $200,000.
Registration for swimming lessons are ongoing on the city’s Leisure Online website or by calling 311.
