It’s only been a week, but the president of the union representing Saskatchewan Government Insurance workers is already out the door.
Mike Zimmerman submitted his letter of resignation on Monday.

Zimmerman is blaming ideological differences with the Canadian Union of Public Employees as the reason for his abrupt departure.
Zimmerman only took on the role on Jan. 1, 2012.
He is also resigning from all boards, committees and offices effective immediately.
