INDIAN HEAD, Sask. – A gravel company was digging at the request of a landowner Wednesday when they unearthed what appeared to be a human jaw bone. RCMP were notified and attended the rural field around 1.5 kilometers west of Montmartre, Sask.
Mounties are working with the office of the chief coroner and a forensic anthropologist out of Saskatoon. At this time, there is no evidence to indicate the death is suspicious.
It is believed that the remains are historical in nature.
The RCMP historical case unit south is assisting with the investigation and search for additional evidence.
