EDMONTON – With a psychedelic background, colour-changing dancing frogs and just all around flash, one Alberta Green Party candidate has created a website that you really have to see, and hear, to believe.

While it’s not his official campaign website, Red Deer-South candidate Ben Dubois says he created the ’90s-inspired website to make a statement.

“The goal was to point out that politics hasn’t changed since these websites were popular, that the internet and people have been progressing from the train wrecks of the past and creating modern more appealing products and services using the web; yet our politicians still maintain these old ideas and ways of thinking,” Dubois said in an email to Global News.

The website comes with a disclaimer to explain it’s just a joke. Dubois redirects readers to his actual campaign website.

The website, which comes complete with a Snoop Dogg cursor, caused quite the stir on social media.
