EDMONTON – Edmonton police are investigating a rash of vandalism acts after several businesses on 99 Street between Ellerslie Road and Argyll Road ended up with smashed windows.
Officers believe the windows were shot out with either a pellet gun or an air rifle.
Police believe the crimes took place in the early morning and evening of Thursday, April 30. Some are believed to have occurred overnight.
“One business has 28 large windows that were all shot out with either a pellet gun or air rifle. This random act of vandalism is not acceptable in our city. So far, six businesses have been victimized by this senseless act,” said Staff Sgt. Warren Driechel with the Edmonton Police Service.
Brad Roberts is the founder of Sun Ray Spas on 99 Street. His business had upwards of 28 windows smashed.
