EDMONTON – Planning commutes on city roads could be that much easier. The City of Edmonton is launching an online map for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to use for planning trips along local roads.

The Current Traffic Disruptions Map is available on the city’s website. It shows planned construction and events-related to traffic disruptions, including total closures, lane closures and sidewalk closures for all roadways in Edmonton city limits.

Icons on the map provide information about the scope of a disruption, its impact, start and finish dates, and the reason for the disruption.

As part of the City’s ongoing Open City Initiative, the information used to generate the traffic disruptions map is now also available on the City’s Open Data Catalogue.
