Alberta Election 2015: NDP’s Bob Wanner wins Medicine Hat riding

Bob Wanner, of the NDP, has won a seat in Medicine Hat, beating out the Wildrose’s Val Olson by 399 votes.

The Medicine Hat riding was solidly Progressive Conservative beginning in 1979.

The Wildrose took the seat in 2012 with a win by Blake Pedersen. Pedersen crossed the floor to the PC party in December 2014, and won the PC nomination for 2015. He finished in third behind the NDP and Wildrose.
