The team was swept by the Anaheim Ducks in four games Wednesday and is ready for the break after a gruelling playoff push.
“At the end of the season and in the playoffs… you don’t really get too many days off to let things fully rest up so I’m looking forward to finally letting some things heal,” said Bryan Little who admitted he was not 100 per cent in the Jets playoff series.
At least eight players have significant injuries according to head coach Paul Maurice, four of which happened during the team’s playoff series.
“I’ve always been amazed at what they’re willing to play with,” said Maurice who confirmed Mathieu Perreault’s injury earlier in the regular season was a high-ankle sprain which became a version of a low ankle sprain bone bruise.

“When he got hit from behind it ripped some ligaments off his hand and some bone off his hand,” said Maurice.
Andrew Ladd said he has been dealing with a sports hernia and Jacob Trouba talked about the broken bone in his left hand.
“I could only grip my stick with two fingers so there’s not really much strength there and it’s tough to control my stick,” said Trouba who suffered the injury in game two of the series.
Maurice also said Bryan Little and Dustin Byfuglien had rib dislocations. He expects three players will need surgery and a couple have shoulders that need to be looked at in the offseason.
