SASKATOON – A photographer who took photos of a murdered Saskatchewan family is remembering them in a blog post.

“It was difficult to come home today after hearing of their tragedy,” wrote Jessica Rae, “knowing that I had one of the photos on display in the studio and their Christmas card from that year on my refrigerator.”

Latasha Gosling and her three children, Janayah, Landen and Jenika, were found dead in their Tisdale, Sask. home, the victims of a murder-suicide.

Jessica Rae met Latasha and the three children last fall for a “fun family photo session.”

“One by one they bounced up and introduced themselves to me not one bit shy and well mannered,” wrote Jessica in her blog “A Family to Remember.

“The kids played in my backyard for over an hour with my puppy while Latasha and I got better acquainted.”

The family then headed to a park for the photo shoot.

“I looked over at Latasha, as she sat there quietly with a soft smile on her face watching over her children while they played and enjoyed life,” wrote Jessica Rae.

“She was so beautiful, she was over flowing with love for her children.

“Being around a loving family and happy children is like food for your soul. It is the very definition of ‘being high on life’.”

Family member Tim Funk set up a gofundme page shortly after hearing of the murders. Money raised will be used to help offset funeral and travel costs with any leftover funds going towards Latasha’s surviving child.
