REGINA – A police officer used a taser Sunday morning on a 20-year-old Regina woman involved in a domestic assault.
Police were called out to Angus street and 9 Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
When the officers arrived, they found a young woman with a knife, threatening a 22-year-old man.
Police say when they tried to intervene, the woman threatened to turn the knife on the officers. A taser was deployed and the woman was taken to hospital and then into custody.
She’s been charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of assaulting a peace officer. Her name is not being released to protect the identity of the man involved.
