EDMONTON – After being found guilty of assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and obstruction April 16, Simona Tibu’s convictions were overturned Monday.
The charges against the Camrose woman were in connection with a traffic stop on Aug. 3, 2013.

The 40-year-old dentist was convicted in Wetaskiwin in April. Alberta Justice confirmed the convictions were overturned Dec. 14.

Tibu was charged after being pulled over for speeding on her way to Edmonton.
