CALGARY – RCMP have arrested one man after a woman was reported stabbed inside a bakery in the hamlet of Langdon on Thursday.
The victim, a woman in her 50’s, was attacked around 6:30 a.m. RCMP won’t confirm she was stabbed, only that a serious assault occurred.
The manager of Botsford Delicatessen says the victim is an employee who works at the business as a baker.
“It’s a small town, so we’re all close,” says Laura Koltusky. “My employee, she means a lot to me.”

She was found by a customer who called 911.
“She’s a wonderful lady… friendly and outgoing. Looks after the customers really well.”
Emergency crews rushed her to hospital in Calgary; EMS spokesperson Adam Loria said the woman was in stable condition with “serious traumatic injuries.”
Officers arrested Patrick Geddes in Calgary on Thursday.
He has been charged with attempted murder and sexual assault.
The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
