RCMP have shut down 88 Ave. between Fraser Highway and 156 St. as they investigate a deadly car crash in Surrey Saturday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., a driver crashed into a tree and hit another vehicle near 88 Ave. and 156 St. One vehicle, a black sedan, was found resting on a grassy shoulder. A green SUV travelled several metres through some trees, stopping near the edge of a parking lot.
RCMP have not said which vehicle was at fault, but they do confirm the driver of the black sedan died at the scene. Her name and age have not been released.

This Easter long weekend is shaping up to be a deadly one on B.C. roads. Two teenagers believed to be from the Mackenzie area died Friday after a small car collided with a pickup truck on Highway 97 at Bear Creek Bridge about 200 kilometres north of Prince George.
