CALGARY – More disturbing details surfaced in court Monday about the fatal injuries of six year-old Meika Jordan, who died on November of 2011.

Stepmother Marie Magoon and father Spencer Jordan are accused of first-degree murder in the death of Meika.

Medical examiner Dr. Chris Milroy testified, saying a combination of head and severe abdominal injuries caused her death.

He said the damage to the child’s abdomen was likely the result of a punch or kick, and “she would have been in pain.”

Milroy said the timeline on the combination of injuries ranged from within a few days of her death to weeks prior, including a five-week-old skull fracture that was never treated.

A burn found on the young girl’s hand did not match the flat iron explanation originally told by her stepmother, Marie Magoon, said Milroy.
