WATCH ABOVE: Master Chief is back – but is he friend, or foe?
TORONTO – The fifth installment of Microsoft’s hit gaming series Halo will be available for Xbox One on October 27.
Two new trailers for Halo 5: Guardians debuted Sunday night during the season finale of The Walking Dead. But the trailers don’t include any actual game footage – both are filmed in live-action.
The trailers do suggest that players will be able to control two different characters in the game – Master Chief, the main character from the previous Halo games, and Lock, a new super solider.

Halo 5: Guardians is expected to be a big release for Microsoft, whose Xbox One console lags behind Sony’s PlayStation 4 in global sales.
Microsoft recently released Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a bundle of Microsoft’s previously released Halo games. The bundle has been optimized for Xbox One – running at 60 frames per second and offering better graphics than the originally released versions.
