Kelowna church opens window to the past

KELOWNA – St. Paul’s United Church cracked open a window into the past Tuesday.

The church opened a time capsule that had been hidden inside a corner stone of the building in 1957.

The capsule was discovered during demolition of the building on Lakeshore Rd. to make way for a new church development.

Among the artifacts were maps, photos, coins and pamphlets from the church.

St. Paul’s will allow the congregation time to view the items before donating them to a museum.
