The Highway Hotline says travel is not recommended in the Kindersley area due to icy roads and drifting snow.

Environment Canada is reminding motorists that there will be significant icing of roadways and other surfaces including the Trans-Canada Highway west of Regina to the Alberta border in the next few hours.

The freezing rain should change to snow or end overnight.
