City crews have spent the night working to fix a gaping hole in a downtown Vancouver street in time for the morning commute.
A water main burst yesterday afternoon on Robson Street between Homer and Richards.

The road was shut down as city crews worked to fill in the hole with asphalt.
It is unclear what caused the broken pipe.
There is no word yet whether it will be open by the time rush hour starts.
