Rockfall along Highway 1 affecting classes at Boston Bar School

UPDATE: Highway 1 is now open however it is unclear at this time if classes will resume as normal.

VANCOUVER – Significant rockfall along Highway 1 is affecting classes at Boston Bar Elementary Secondary School today.

There is not enough staff to cover all the students due to the difficulty in getting to work. The school district says students from kindergarten to Grade 5 should come to school between 8:30 a.m. and noon today. Grades 6 to 12 will attend from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

There is also no school bus service in Boston Bar today.
