WATCH ABOVE: Dr. Ewa Sidorowicz talks about patient care at the new MUHC super hospital
MONTREAL – Preparations for the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) move to the Glen Site are very much underway.
It’s a big step that has left many Montrealers wondering where they’ll be able to receive the proper care – what hospitals will now exist under the new super hospital and which hospitals will stay where they are?
The MUHC currently occupies six sites.
But by the end of the move, it will have four.
In the next couple of months, these hospitals will move to the Glen Sites:
– The Royal Victoria Hospital will move in April
– The Montreal Children’s Hospital will move in May
– The Montreal Chest Institute will move in June
Take a look at the full timeline here.
Once at the Glen site, each hospital will have their own emergency room.
The site will house 500 private rooms with individual bathrooms and a family area for members to spend the night.

Some specialized cancer care units will also be transferred from the Montreal General Hospital to the Glen site.
The Cedars Cancer Centre will be moved into its own building to focus chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments around individualized patient needs.

The hospital will open services to adult care on April 26 and pediatric care on May 24.
Do you have questions?
There are still a lot of questions circling about the move and what services will be offered at the new super hospital.
If you have questions, you can send the MUHC a tweet to their Glen site Twitter account.
The hospital said it is working hard to make sure everyone’s queries get answered and is answering as many questions as they can on Twitter.
