Birks jewelry store at Fairview robbed again

POINTE-CLAIRE – It’s becoming an alarming pattern that has shoppers on the West island on edge.

The Birks jewelry store in the Fairview mall in Pointe-Claire was robbed again Wednesday night.

It’s the second robbery in the past four months.

Police are studying the store video footage for clues.

They are looking for two men in their twenties.

The suspects entered the store at about 8 p.m. and sprayed a security guard with pepper spray before breaking several display cases and running away with some valuable items.
