REGINA – A long dispute between the City of Regina and hundreds of its workers over the future of their deficit-ridden pension plan appears to be coming to an end.

The Saskatchewan government says it has accepted recommendations from the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority to amend the plan.

The authority received a joint proposal on changes last December from the city and the Regina Civic Pension and Benefits Committee.

The proposal was accepted and recommendations to proceed with amendments were handed over to the province.
