Woman injured during Saskatoon purse snatching

SASKATOON – A woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a purse snatching in Saskatoon. The 65-year-old was injured when she tried to grab the door of the getaway vehicle.

Police say the woman was robbed of her purse just after 9 p.m. in a parking lot in the 2900-block of 8th Street East.

The man who grabbed her purse then got into an SUV. When the woman attempted to grab the door, she was struck by the SUV which then headed west on 8th Street.

The suspect is a Caucasian man in his 20s with a slim build, shoulder-length blond or light brown hair and wearing a reddish jacket.
