Woman charged with trafficking marijuana in Yorkton, Sask.

YORKTON, Sask. – Mounties have laid charges against a woman after an investigation into trafficking marijuana was launched in Yorkton, Sask. On the evening of March 8, officers stopped a vehicle on Broadway Street West.

Two women, aged 21 and 22, were taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana.

The 22-year-old woman is facing possession and trafficking of marijuana. She was released and is scheduled to appear April 13 in Yorkton provincial court.

Yorkton RCMP is asking anyone with information on illegal drug activity to contact them at 306-786-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
