White scores hat trick in Warriors win over Blades

MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Torrin White scored twice in the first period and completed the hat trick just over a minute into the second as the Moose Jaw Warriors dominated the Saskatoon Blades 7-1 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Brayden Point, Brett Howden and Jack Rodewald added power-play goals for the Warriors (29-32-5), who won their third straight. Jesse Shynkaruk rounded out the attack. Moose Jaw finished the game by going 3 for 7 with the man advantage.

Nick Zajac responded with a goal in the second period for Saskatoon (19-43-4), which went 1 for 5 on the power play.

Brody Willms got the win in goal after stopping 28 shots. Nik Amundrud made 36 saves in the loss.

The Blades next game is Tuesday when they travel to Edmonton to take on the Oil Kings.
