FREDERICTON – Fredericton police say they have arrested a man in connection with four telephone threats targeting a shopping mall in the city.
The Brookside Mall was evacuated on Thursday after police say they received phone calls threatening a call centre in the mall.
Police say their subsequent search of mall property found nothing suspicious.
Following their investigation, police say they arrested Adam L. Peterson on Friday and charged him with uttering threats.
Peterson is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Police say there is no evidence the alleged threats were connected to extremism and that the investigation is ongoing.
