COLDSTREAM, B.C. — A Coldstream man is homeless after a fire destroyed his mobile home Thursday afternoon. It happened just before 4 p.m. on Buchanan Road.
“It burned very hot and very fast,” says Coldstream fire chief, Dave Sturgeon. “The mobile home and an addition on it were fully involved with flames coming out all sides of the building.”
The homeowner wasn’t inside the home when the fire started, he was working in a nearby shop. The pets in the home managed to escape safely.
The biggest battle for fire crews was containing the flames before the spread up a nearby hillside.
