If you’re really desperate for cheap gas, McTeague suggests taking a drive to Kahnawake, where fuel costs about $108.9.

Some areas on the South Shore are also cheaper than the Island, including Brossard which is hovering around $123.9.

So when are they predicted to go back down in Montreal?

“The price will fall about 2 cents a day starting Tuesday night on average until it goes to about 112.9 by Sunday,” McTeague said.

“Come Tuesday, the price will likely go back up to $1.22 or $ 1.23 cpl depending on what happens at the New York Mercantile Exchange between now and Friday.”
