Saskatchewan campsite reservation system opens Monday

REGINA – Summer campsites will be available to reserve online in a staggered fashion for 10 days starting on Monday.

Reservations can be completed at www.saskparks.goingtocamp.com beginning at 7 a.m. each day.

People who access the tool between 6:40 and 7 a.m. will be put into a queue and those who join after will be put at the end of the line.

If the tool is accessed before that time, a refresh will required at 6:40 a.m. to be put into the queue.

Last year, the reservation system buckled under the demand, which lead to incorrect credit card charges on customers. The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport said changes have been made to the system since.

The ministry provided this schedule of reservation times and campsites:

  • Monday, March 2: Blackstrap, Pike Lake
  • Tuesday, March 3: Buffalo Pound, Danielson, Douglas
  • Wednesday, March 4: Echo Valley, Rowan’s Ravine
  • Thursday, March 5: Duck Mountain, Good Spirit Lake, Greenwater Lake
  • Friday, March 6: Crooked Lake, Moose Mountain
  • Saturday, March 7: Cypress Hills
  • Sunday, March 8: The Battlefords, Saskatchewan Landing
  • Monday, March 9: Meadow Lake
  • Tuesday, March 10: Bronson Forest, Chitek Lake, Lac La Ronge, Makwa Lake
  • Wednesday, March 11: Candle Lake, Great Blue Heron, Narrow Hills.
