Police are commending a five-year-old Barrie boy after he called 911 for help Saturday night as his mother was experiencing repeated seizures. When police arrived at their home the woman was still having seizures, and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Barrie Police Service is “impressed” by his actions and plans to put the boy’s name forward for a civilian citation award.
Police say the boy had been taught to use 911 just that week, and that he made the right call.
