Social media mourns death of Leonard Nimoy

TORONTO – As news about the death of Leonard Nimoy, best known for his role as Spock from the Star Trek franchise spread, many took to Twitter to express sadness at his passing.

William Shatner, his co-star in the Star Trek television show which ran from 1966 to 1969, as well as six Star Trek movies, expressed sadness over Nimoy’s passing.

Others, those he worked with, as well as those involved in true space exploration also expressed their condolences.

But even those who didn’t know Nimoy mourned his loss.
