MONTREAL — The theme of light will be the popular attraction at the Insectarium, Planetarium and Botanical Gardens this summer.
At the Insectarium, a cloud of virtual fireflies will light up the skies to help visitors better understand the insects and how and why they transmit light. The show will run from June 20 to Aug. 30.
The Planetarium will host the Dark Universe, an exhibit that takes people on a journey across light years to explore the Big Bang Theory. It’s a cosmic exploration of the visible structure of the universe. The show will run from July 7 to Nov. 8.
The Botanical Gardens will play host to some lively music with both classical and jazz themes this summer.
Popular tenor Marc Hervieux will also perform on June 14, and Oliver Jones will get people moving on Aug. 23, when the musician takes centre stage.
“Every year, Montreal Space for Life manages to renew itself.”
“The 2015 program is full of exciting activities drawing on creativity and knowledge,” said Manon Gauthier, the Montreal executive committee member responsible for culture, heritage, design, Space for Life and the status of women.
“Once again, Space for Life is helping to build Montreal’s reputation as a city of art and culture.”
