REVELSTOKE — The city of Revelstoke’s heating system took a hit as a result of a structure fire Sunday night.
Fire broke out at the Revelstoke Community Energy Corporation, next to Downie Timber on Mill Street.
The building houses special equipment that generates heat from wood waste.
A number of civic buildings in Revelstoke rely on the heat including the local rec centre.
The extent of damage is being assessed and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
